It's pretty annoying that invite links are only valid for 7 days.

to generate a different length of validity
1.) go to the discord channel you where you want people to arrive and right click the channel name in the channel list and choose to invite
2.) there's a link on the bottom to "edit" the invite link. choose that
3.) here, you can set the expiry date of the link including never. Typically, people only create one non-expiring link to a discord server to make sure that's the normal entrance ensuring people arrive at a consistent location where onboarding can happen.
4.) "Generate a New Link" should make a new link with the settings you've chosen (I think boosted server might have an option of generate custom links as well that would have some custom text instead of the pseudo-random text generate to make the invite url
not sure why discord hides those options away in a hard to find location
